Anuniform Rockwell Hardness of 63-65 HRCin the front portion provides a sharp cutting edge while the strong rear portion of the knives ensure a firm grip in the cutting machine.However, the hardness of the blades near their inner diameter is kept comparatively lesser to ensure ease of removal during the process of blade changing or re-blading.

Moreover, the hardened sharp edge of knives can be maintained with re-grinding on a repetitive basis for a longer service life.
